Chief Executive Officer
Kevin started with TCT&A part-time in 1986 and joined the company full-time in 1989. He managed the tarp division from 1991 to 1995, at which time he was named CEO.
His professional affiliations include the Mid America 8 Canvas Products Association (Secretary-Treasurer 1999-2003; Director, 2003-2006), The Truck Cover and Tarp Association (Board of Directors, 1995-2001; Chairman, 1998-2001), the Technical Fabrics Association Management Group (Board of Directors 2007-2011) and the Industrial Fabrics Association International (Board of Directors, 2002-present), where he served as Chairman of the Board from 2011-2013.
He has presented numerous seminars at industry conventions and written many articles for various industry publications.
Yonce has also served on the Board of Directors of the United Way of Champaign County, the Center for Women in Transition, Community Health Improvement Centers and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Eastern Illinois Food Bank (Board President 3011-2014) and the Illini Rebounders.. Kevin is a Past President of Champaign West Rotary (2003-2004) and serves Rotary District 6490 and will serve as District Governor is 2016-2017.
Kevin Yonce has also been certified a Master Fabric Craftsman, an Industrial Fabrics Manager, and a Certified Project Planner. He is one of less than a handful of industry professionals to hold three professional certifications in the Specialty Fabrics Industry.
Byron began working part-time for TCT&A Industries in 1988, became a full-time employee in 1996 as a production supervisor, and was promoted to company president in 1999. Yonce has a bachelor's degree in mass communications from Illinois State University and worked in the television industry for several years before returning to the family business.
Byron served on the Board of Directors of the Fabric Graphics Association from 1998 to 2003, and as Chairman from 2001 to 2003. Byron serves on the Board of Directors of the Professional Awning Manufacturers Association (2006-present, Chairman 2010-2013). Byron also served on the Board of Directors of the Midwest Fabric Products Association (serving as President 2010-2012). Yonce has presented at various industry conferences on Management and Production topics.
Byron earned his Master Fabric Craftsman in Awnings and Canopies in 2008.
He is actively involved in his church. Byron also coaches Little League and soccer.
Vice-President/Chief Financial Officer
Wanda started at TCT&A in 1974 and has worked in finance since 1968. She has been a member of the Industrial Fabric Association since 1975, and served on the Industrial Fabric Product Review Magazine Advisory Board from 1995 to 1998. She has also been active in the Mid America 8 Canvas Products since 1968, serving on the board of directors from 1988 to 1999, and as president from 1995 to 1997.
In 2006 Wanda was named an Honored Life Member of the Midwest Fabric Products Association, becoming the first woman to be so honored. In 2010 was named an Honored Life Member of the Industrial Fabrics Association.
Mary joined TCT&A in 1981 as a receptionist and was quickly promoted to director of product development and supervised the implementation of our tent rental computer program. Currently she is the Office Administrator overseeing the office staff and purchasing, and managing the Champaign County Tent account. Mary is a Charter Member of the Women's Business Council and has served on the Board of Directors in various capacities.
Vice President of Sales
Ron Crick began his career with TCT&A Industries in 2003 after many years as a small business owner. Ron brings a wealth of experience in sales and marketing. Ron has been generous with his time, having served on numerous boards and organizations, including the Illinois Balloon Classic.
Ron has an Executive MBA from the University of Illinois.
Director of Installations and Crew Operations
Matthew began his career with TCT&A Industries in 1996 working in the frame shop. Matthew proved himself quickly, advancing to become an awning installer and then lead installer before being promoted to Tent Installation Manager for Champaign County Tent. Matthew oversaw the installation of all tents and our extensive inventory of additional rental items, as well as the maintenance of the inventory. In 2010 Matthew was promoted to his current position as Director of Installation and Crew Operations.
Tonya first began at TCT&A Industries in 1995 with the Tent Installation Crew as an in-house installer. Tonya later worked with Champaign County Tent in scheduling tent installations. Tonya moved into the sales department in 2004 in her current position. Her background with the company has been a great asset as she works with our Internet customers and assists with our awning dealers. Her greatest asset is her understanding of our products and willingness to continue learning. Tonya also helps with the overall management of the company, being named to the management staff in 2014.
In 2007 Tonya became a Certified Project Planner through the Industrial Fabrics Association International.
Randy started with TCT&A Industries in 2004, after working with another company in the specialty fabrics industry. Randy spent several years in the petroleum industry before moving to the specialty fabrics industry. Mr. Hovis handles our eastern sales area in our base sales area.
Chairman of the Board
Wayne started with Twin City Tent and Awning in 1959. He was named general manager in 1967, a position he held until 1975, when he purchased the company and became president. Currently, in addition to his duties as chairman of the board, he manages special projects for TCT&A.
His professional affiliations include the Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky Canvas Products Association (Board of Directors, 1970-1979; President, 1977-1979), Industrial Fabric Association International (Board of Directors, 1986-1992), Fabric Architecture Magazine (Advisory Board, 1988-1992), IFAI Awning Division, currently known as the Professional Awning Manufacturers Association (PAMA) (Board of Directors, 1989-1996; Chairman, 1994-1996), and the Technical Fabrics Association Management Group (Board of Directors, 1992-1995). In 2004 Wayne was named an Honored Life Member of the Industrial Fabrics Association, and in 2005 a Honored Life Member of the Midwest Fabric Products Association.
Yonce is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Urbana (1993-1994). He was President of the Urbana Chamber of Commerce and a charter member of the Board of Directors of the Champaign County Chamber of Commerce. Yonce served on the Board of Directors of Rebounders (the University of Illinois Basketball Team booster club); he served as President in 2007-2008.
